Cutting the cost of parking
Reducing the cost of car parks in Hitchin remains a focus for our BID team, who have completed a detailed survey of car park use and wait to see if finance will be available for a promotion that encourages more car owners to visit more often ... and stay longer!
Implementing ‘FREE AFTER 3’ parking in all our short term car parks will certainly be prohibitively expensive so we are currently researching best practice in other towns to evaluate alternative schemes.
