The Heart of Hitchin BID Boundary
This map shows the extent of the BID area and the main streets included.
For the avoidance of doubt, this is a list of the streets involved:

We have decided to allow all rate-paying businesses in the BID area to have a say in the way in which the partnership works through the voting system. Consequently all businesses will be liable to pay the levy. In the case of the smallest businesses this will be less than a pound a week and certainly less than a member of the current HTCI pays as an annual fee.
We are also conscious that a number of companies in Hitchin trade outside the defined BID area but are currently paid-up members of HTCI. Ongoing improvements to the town centre through the activities of the BID Company will still continue to benefit businesses and companies on the periphery. Several of them have signified that they wish to continue supporting the town through their contribution to the Hitchin Initiative. To enable this to happen, we intend to create a “Friends of Hitchin BID” so they can to continue to contribute towards and show their affection and enthusiasm for the local partnership and the town. Membership rates for this will be announced once the BID is established.
